UK born Hester Ullyart is a musician, spoken word performer, writer, director and actress who thrives on creating independent work of mixed discipline and collaboration. As a playwright and poet, her work includes award-winning poetry film/digital theatre piece ‘I am all the rooms of the house’ (Home - MCR/RADA Festival), ‘Notes on a Migration’ (Tiny Fest), solo plays ‘Paragon Dreams’ (*****Yorkshire Post Hull Truck, featured season at Auckland Writers Festival) and award-winning ‘The Ballad of Paragon Station’ (Stellar Original Content Award, NZ Fringe). She is the host and founder of Common Ground Spoken Word Kā Tūka Toikupu. Her poetry is published in various NZ and UK anthologies. A compelling stage actor of classical and contemporary drama, memorable screen work includes Rosa in One Lane Bridge (TVNZ/Great Southern). She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

Her debut album, The All Clear is due for release this November.
